What you’ll need
Before you get started, gather a few simple supplies:

• Scissors
• Pens or markers for personal messages
Step 1: Download and print the Smencil Gram
Start by downloading the Valentine’s Day Smencils Gram printout. Print as many copies as you need on regular paper or cardstock if you want a sturdier feel - cardstock works especially well if students will be writing on the back.
Step 2: Cut out the grams
Once printed, carefully cut along the lines of each Smencil Heart Gram. Don’t forget to cut out the center section of the heart, which is designed to hold the Smencil in place. This is a great step for parent volunteers or classroom helpers, or even a fun pre-activity for older students.
Step 3: Attach the Smencil
Simply slide the Smencil through the cut-out section, and it will stay securely attached to the gram.
Step 4: Add a personal message
This is what makes each Smencil Gram extra special. Flip the gram over and write a personal message on the back. Students can write notes to friends, classmates, teachers, or staff.

Step 5: Sort and deliver
